Valley company works on oral vaccine

A Lehigh Valley company, US Specialty Formulations, is developing an oral vaccine for COVID-19 and plans to invest more than $5 million and create nearly 100 high-paying jobs at a 41,000-square-foot facility at 101 E. Lexington St. in Allentown.

What’s next? USS Fanticipates human trials will be complete by May, after which USSF will apply to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for emergency use authorization. The goal is to get the vaccine into the market by mid-2021.
