Man dies after car crash

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Bethlehem, police say.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. on Westgate Drive at Bathgate Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles, Duran Chakarian, 60, of Bethlehem, later died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, the Lehigh County coroner’s office said. Anautopsy Monday will determine how he died.

The crash is under investigation by Bethlehem police and the Lehigh County coroner’s office.
