Library offering streaming service
The Allentown Public Library announces its debut streaming service, “Hoopla,” available to access with a library card. The Allentown Public Library will be providing movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and television shows for your computer, tablet, phone, and television.
Library patrons can browse over 800,000 titles in six different formats, audiobooks, eBooks, comics/ graphic novels, full music albums, movies, and television and instantly borrow, then download or stream, the titles. Titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline later. Four downloads per month will be available for library card holders at no cost.
The website hoopladigital.com explains the service. Content can be accessed through the library website or via the Hoopla app. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. Visit the Allentown Public Library website for the launch of the new service at allentownpl.org
