Night shift appreciated sub shop delivery

I have a daughter who is a nurse at the mother-baby unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She works the night shift. I became aware that several times during this COVID-19 crisis, special food contributions were made to the day shift staff, but not for the night shift.

Being the Christmas season, I went to the manager of Jersey Mike’s Subs in Trexlertown on Dec. 21 and asked about delivering subs to the night shift at the mother-baby unit at this special time of year. A manager there very graciously volunteered to deliver subs to the night shift on Dec. 23.

My daughter was in tears with appreciation, as she did not know I did this, and the rest of the staff was so very grateful.

I want to thank Ryan, the manager at Jersey Mike’s, for his very generous contribution to our very dedicated health care workers.
