LCCC spring late start sessions
Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer two spring late start sessions for students needing to earn credits in a fast format. A 10-week session will be held from Feb. 12 through May 8, and a seven-week session is set for March 5 through May 8.
Classes in the 10-week session, starting Feb. 12, are mostly offered online and remotely. Online courses provide course content, assignments and all assessments within the Canvas learning management system. Remote courses provide a live, real-time virtual classroom experience for students who do not attend class in person. Students can take courses in a range of subject areas, including accounting, anatomy and physiology, business, computers, English, mathematics, music, yoga and Spanish.
Classes in the seven-week session, starting March 5, are designed to give students the option to take face-to-face courses, as well as online or remote. Classes are being held in subjects such as business, economics, English, mathematics and sociology.
Tuition, including fees, is $158 per credit hour for students from one of LCCC’s sponsoring school districts and $279 per credit for other Pennsylvania residents. Schuylkill County residents pay $223 a credit, and out-of-state or foreign students pay $400 a credit. Students taking 12-18 credits per semester pay a block tuition rate that varies based on residency.
Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.
New students can apply for admission online at www.lccc. edu/admissions.
Those seeking a degree must complete a placement test, or meet requirements for exemption, and meet with an adviser, either virtually or in-person, before registering for classes. Students can pay online or in person at the business office in Schnecksville, as well as sites in Tamaqua and Allentown.
