AIDSNET, Bethlehem, needs community members and profession­als, lawyer, CPAs, clergy, physicians, etc., who live in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampto­n or Schuylkill County to join its board of directors and help oversee the organizati­on’s mission of building healthier communitie­s by planning and funding HIV/AIDS care and prevention services in those six counties. ALLENTOWN AREA ECUMENICAL FOOD BANK needs volunteers, minimum age 14 with adult, to help in its Client Choice Food Pantry 8:30 a.m. to noon starting at the end of September for one or more weekdays per month to help the clients select their food and place in the bags. HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES needs volunteers for its Apple Days festival at Burnside Plantation: for setup 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept 15, 16 and 17; day of festival shifts 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept 18 and 19; break down/cleanup 4:30-7 p.m. Sept 19 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept 20. LEHIGH VALLEY SCORE needs volunteer mentors to coach entreprene­urs at no charge for the local chapter in the nation-wide SCORE organizati­on. The group partners with the Small Business Administra­tion and local agencies who assist small business startups or local small businesses who need assistance. THE WHOLE LIFE CENTER, Easton, needs volunteers 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of the month to assist with assembling boxes of food and then take out to clients’ cars. Also, one or two volunteers are needed 9:3011 a.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of the month to assemble boxes of Fresh Food for Seniors. All volunteers must be over 18 and under 65.
