Hannah Harwick, 105 years old, passed away on November 11, 2021 in Gainesvill­e, FL. She was born in Egypt, PA on October 18, 1916, the daughter of Eugene Ephraim Long and Cora Kurtz Long. She was the widow of Dr. Ralph F. Harwick. She was a 1932 graduate of Allentown

High School and a 1939

graduate of Cedar Crest College where she served as class agent for many years. Prior to her marriage, she taught at the former Allentown Business School. After her marriage to Dr. Harwick, she helped him in his office with his busy medical practice. Following Dr. Harwick’s death in 1965, she returned to teaching and was a member of the business department faculty at Louis E. Dieruff High School. She was a past president of the Lehigh County Medical Alliance. She was a 25-year volunteer in the gift shop at Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th Street location. She was a 50 plus year member of First Presbyteri­an Church, a church she loved. Her first and greatest love was for her children and grandchild­ren.

She was predecease­d by her son, John David Harwick M.D., and sister, Frances Long Trexler. She is survived by her daughter, Ann, and her husband, Ted Ankrum, grandsons, Jason and Jeffrey Lewis, two great-grandchild­ren, Jennifer and Zack, daughter-in-law Christin Harwick, and grandsons, John Peter and Andrew, and granddaugh­ter, Megan.

There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Park 3843 Lehigh St, Hokendauqu­a, PA. Arrangemen­ts are being handled by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. in Allentown, PA. www.stephensfu­neral.com.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to donate to Cedar Crest College, First Presbyteri­an Church, or a charity of their choice.
