106 year of age and resident of Allentown, passed away early Thursday morning November 18, 2021 in her home, surrounded by all that she loved. She was the wife of Edward A. Stalsitz for 67 years at the time of his passing in 2009. Valeria was born in Allentown to the late William F. and Margaret M. (Muringer) Sweeney. In addition to being a homemaker all of her life, she assisted in the family business, the former Sweeney and Stalsitz Sporting Goods in Allentown. A 1933 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Valeria was a longtime member of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown, where she was a receptioni­st until age 93. Surviving are her children, William and his wife Dorothy (Layton) of Southern Pines, N.C., Jean wife of

Hugh Gallagher, Christine Stalsitz Mack, and Edward G. Stalsitz all of Allentown; grandchild­ren Hugh, Karen, Edward, Kristin, Colleen, Sean, Jeanine, William, John, Erin, and Megan; 25 great-grandchild­ren and one

great-great granddaugh­ter; she was predecease­d by brothers Vincent, George, Jerome and William. Her

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 11:00 am in Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown, PA 18103, where her viewing will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will

follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Whitehall. For those wishing to honor Valeria with a memorial contributi­on,
