N. Jean Snyder, 90, formerly of Emmaus, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Richard R. Snyder for 51 years until his passing in 2004. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ada (Derr) Baus. She worked as a medical secretary for Allentown Radiologic­al Associates for many years. Jean was an establishe­d organist who spent decades of her career playing the organ for Sunday church services across the Lehigh Valley and beyond and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organist. She was a passionate advocate for animals, with a special love for all rabbits. Her love of nature was contagious and was lovingly passed on to her children and grandchild­ren. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a loyal, lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus, PA. Jean is survived by her daughters Debra J. Jellick and husband Gary of Severna Park, Maryland, Dianne J. Snyder of Landing, New Jersey, daughter-in-law Sharon K. Snyder of Whitehall; grandsons Daniel Snyder and wife Tiffany of Catasauqua, Bryan Snyder of Whitehall, Gregory Jellick and wife Kerry of Severna Park, granddaugh­ter Emily Murrell and husband Brent of New Windsor, and four great grandchild­ren. She was pre-deceased by her son Barry R. Snyder. The family will receive

relatives and friends on Friday, May 27 2022 from 10am to 11am followed by a memorial service at 11am at Schantz Funeral Home Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Family has requested private family only graveside interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus PA 18049 or The House Rabbit Society at rabbit.org.
