Ronald J. Bolza

Retired 28 year veteran of the Pennsylvan­ia State Police, Ronald J. Bolza, passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning, May 25th, at the age of 87 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown. Born in Allentown on November 6, 1934, he was raised by his beloved grandmothe­r and upon graduation from high school he entered the US Army where he served as a military police officer in post WW2 Europe, serving

admirably until he was honorably discharged. Upon his return to the States, he was a laborer, working on constructi­on crews at Dorney Park when he was accepted as a cadet in the PA State Police, graduating from the academy in 1958. He served the citizens of the Commonweal­th of PA as a State Trooper for 3 decades, upon retiring in 1986 he opened up his own detective agency and operated it for many years, after which, he began posting his exploits in the military and the State Police on Facebook. He recalled all the wild things that he was involved in over the course of his career in law enforcemen­t, gaining hundreds of followers who read of his adventures and looked forward to his daily posts as he reminisced about his younger years.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Alvernia College while still a Trooper, and taught criminal justice for a short time at the University of Delaware.

Ron was predecease­d by his parents, Michael

and Beatrice, his beloved grandmothe­r,

Angelina Bolza and brother Ken.

He is survived by daughters Kimberly wife of Michael Danner, Diane wife of Michal Kravelick and a son Michael Bolza and his wife Michele; Grandchild­ren, Travis, Tori, Sean, Andrew, Scott

and Kayla as well as 9 great grandchild­ren; sisters; Brenda, Angela and brothers; James and Dale. His longtime companion, Eileen Creitz and his best friend and business partner Sam Guido and his wife Sandy.

Services: 10:30AM, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102 with the Reverend Sam Guido, officiatin­g. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30AM Thursday. Interment to follow at St. Marks Cemetery, Allentown.
