Louis J. Casciole, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, May

27, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus.

Born in Easton on January 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Leonard and

Mary Rose (Muretta) Casciole. Louis graduated from Wilson Area High School in 1957 and joined the United States Navy shortly after, serving on the U.S.S Saratoga until 1961. Early in his career he owned his own painting and constructi­on business for 15 years, Lou Casciole’s Painting. After that he spent many years as a car salesman, the majority of it as the manager of Pocono

AutoMart, finally retiring in his mid 70’s.

Louis married Theresa Zalsky on May 11, 1963, and celebrated 44 years of marriage until her passing in 2007. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and the Republican Club in Wilson Borough.

He was a generous and devoted family man, who cherished his family above all, and was a good friend to many. After his wife’s passing, he enjoyed spending his mornings at George’s Luncheonet­te with the breakfast gang, as well as dinners with his good friends at the Repo Club. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Raines and husband Adam; son Matthew L. Casciole; beloved grandchild­ren, Hannah Casciole, Morgan Casciole, and Lucas and Kathryn Maholick; daughter in law, Sharon Casciole; son in law, Michael Maholick; sister in laws, Frances, Sarah, Myrtle, and Helga; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good fri ends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predecease­d by his daughter, Christa Marie Maholick; sisters Mary Rebmann, and Angelina

Casciole (in infancy); brothers, Anthony, Nicholas, Leonard, Jr., James Casciole, and Richard Casciole.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street,

Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) and again on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday,

June 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045. Interment will follow at Northampto­n Memorial Shrine, Easton.
