Dennis K. Moyer

Dennis Keith Moyer, 72, passed away at MUSC surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness on June 24, 2022. Dennis was born in Reading Pennsylvania on December 18, 1949, the son of Kenneth Moyer and Louise Travis. He earned his undergraduate degree at Kutztown University in Elementary Education.

Dennis was a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, proud Popi (grandfather) and the most loyal of friends that everyone should be so lucky to have. He was a General Manager for Sears & Roebuck for over 30 years. He truly found joy in motivating people and creating teams. Dennis was one

of the most vibrant, loving, and inspirational people to ever spend time on this planet; ask anyone who knew him. His love of people, especially his family was palpable. Dennis loved spending time with friends and family on the golf course, playing board games, or keeping

everyone connected with his yearly holiday card newsletter. One of Dennis's most fond memories was in 2018 when his children and wife took him to Masters.

He is survived by his soulmate Kathie Moyer, daughter Stacia (Michael) Takach, son Stephen (Kate) Moyer, his grandchildren Emma and Mack

Moyer, brother Douglas (Linda) Moyer and a circle of grieving kin and friends far and wide. Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA. The viewing is scheduled from

10:00am to 11:00am, with a service to begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. The burial will

follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dennis Moyer to the American Humane Society.
