Catherine J.

“Katie” Bobeck, 101, of Saucon Valley Manor and formerly of Allentown, died peacefully on June 29,

2022. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Bobeck, who died in 1990.

Born in Whitehall, she was a daughter of the late John and Susanna (Matis) Chuss. Katie was employed by Matte

Dress Company as a dress maker for 20 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church of Allentown and its Ladies Auxiliary. Katie was also a member of

the Ladies Garment Industry Union and the

First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She was an avid bowler with the St. John's League. Katie loved sewing, making crafts, baking and volunteering. She always enjoyed family get togethers. Family was very important to her.

Survivors: Son, Daniel and his wife Helen of Allentown; grandson, Brian Bobeck and his wife Heather of Allentown; granddaughter, Kristin Wehr and her husband Dean of Annville; 5 great-granddaughters, Alison, Kaleigh, Gabrielle, Sarah Grace and Cameron.

Katie was also preceded in death by brothers Andrew, John and Michael Chuss and sisters Anna Chuss, Margaret Chuss, Elizabeth Nemchik, Mary Rayan and Agnes Nehilla.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, 924 N. Front Street, Allentown, 18102. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service in the church. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.

church of your choice.
