He was President of the class of 1956 at Upper Perkiomen High School, & graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelors, and from Lehigh University

with a Masters degree, both in Electrical Engineering. In November 1958, he married the late Salli Farr Knabb, with whom he had two daughters.

Evan was a man of many talents, technically & creatively. He had a life-long fascination with technology & how things worked, so as both an engineer & the son of a carpenter, he knew how to design, build, plumb and wire anything. He was a hard worker, and his varied interests took him from the business world, to his own business, to volunteering at Allentown's Senior Center, helping members with both their taxes and helping them navigate the complicated world of Medicare supplemental plans. His professional life had him working at Western

Electric, Honeywell & finally SI Handling for whom he traveled across the US to oversee the mechanization of various businesses, including the postal service. In the mid-1990s, he left the professional world to use his other skills by starting a handyman business before retiring in 2005.

After the death of Salli in 1972, he remained single for many years before finding and marrying his soulmate, Barbara D. Day in 1996. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Kim C Bryant & husband Doug of Nellysford Va, stepdaughter Emily Schofield & husband Parker “Bear” of Vienna Va, & his estranged son Reese Badman & family; his beloved grandchildren: Evan Bryant & wife Katie, Henry, Lily and Nora Schofield, & his great-granddaughter Emerson “Emmy” Bryant; his brother Robert “Bobby” Christman & wife Barbara; his loyal furry friend,

Scarlett O'Hara; his goddaughter, Betsy Hillis, and many nieces and nephews to whom his outof-the-box thinking and tendency toward pushing boundaries made him a favorite, a fondness that continues today. In addition to his parents

and wife Salli, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Lynn Christman Wojciechowski; and his sisters Fern Gilbert and Betty Sweatt.

The family would like to thank the staff of Devon House and the professionals from Family Pillars Hospice for their loving care of Evan these past months, and many family, friends and neighbors for their support. Burial will be private. A celebration of Evan's life will be held at a later date.
