Dorothy Ann

(Jaroscak) Schultz, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Born on April 3, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Saxon) Jaroscak. Following high school graduation, Dorothy enrolled in St. Luke's School of Nursing, graduating in 1953.

She later went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in 1978.

Dorothy enjoyed forty-two-year career in nursing, with diverse experience­s. She started as a medical/surgical nurse and St. Luke's, then took a position with Mercy Hospital in Redding, California. Her career moved forward as she accepted positions in Critical Care, as an evening supervisor, then middle management. Dorothy retired from the Vascular Laboratory at St. Luke's in 1995.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. “Bud” Schultz, who passed away on January 1, 2003.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Denise Schultz of Deerfield Beach, Florida; one son: Bryan Schultz (Jodi) of Mount Pleasant, SC; and two grandchild­ren: Savannah and Lydon (Shanna) Schultz.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 9:30am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow

at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,

1817 1st Street, Bethlehem.

Interment will be private in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
