What’s in, out at Lehigh Valley Mall

- Jennifer Sheehan

Inventor Alexander Graham Bell said it best: “When one door closes, another opens.”

That’s been the pattern at the Lehigh Valley Mall’s lifestyle center the last six months, with some tenants leaving and others coming on board.

First, let’s start with what’s coming soon according to Amber Wong, a spokesperson for the Whitehall Township mall:

„ Face Foundrie: Founded in 2019, this company specializes in all things for the face, including services such as facials, lashes and brows, and other skin care. This would be the first Lehigh Valley location and the second in Pennsylvania, with the other location in King of Prussia, Montgomery County. Info: www.facefoundrie.com

„ Kendra Scott: This retailer specializes in jewelry in a variety of price points, as well as gifts. This would also be the company’s first Lehigh Valley location, and third in Pennsylvania (King of Prussia and Ardmore, Montgomery County)

Wong said both tenants are expected to open in the lifestyle center by mid-summer.

Looking at tenants that are closing or have closed:

„ Country Memories: This tenant, which is upstairs on the Boscov’s side, is slated to close by the end of April as the owner is looking to retire. The store, which has been a part of the mall for the last 12 years, offers a variety of antiques and home decor items. The entire store is 50% off and antiques and fixtures are priced as marked.

„ Vera Bradley: The accessory-retailer known best for its fabric handbags with brightly colored prints closed its lifestyle center store this month.

„ Things Remembered, which specializes in unique and personalized gifts, closed in mid-January. The retailer was recently purchased by 1-800 FLOWERS. COM.

„ Williams Sonoma, an original tenant in the lifestyle center, closed in January.

The location will host a grand opening 9-11 a.m. March 4 where you have a chance of getting free coffee for a year if you’re one of the first hundred guests there.
