Musikfest 2023 marks a historic milestone:

it is the 40th year the organizati­on will shut down the streets of Bethlehem and turn the town into the Lehigh Valley’s biggest party of the summer. Each year, ArtsQuest relies on hundreds of volunteers throughout the community to help make this festival a success. The group needs help from business groups, social groups, and individual­s at informatio­n booths, selling soda, keeping the area clean, staging crew, beer pourer, and so much more. Help transform the back deck patio of Bloom for

Women in Bangor into a place of beauty and serenity for residents to cherish.

Bloom for Women, a sanctuary to survivors of sex traffickin­g and sexual exploitati­on, needs talented individual­s with experience to repair or revamp the deck. The gardens at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth have several planter boxes in which residents will plant vegetables and flowers. The facility is looking for volunteers to assist residents in watering the plants each morning. Minimum age 14 with adult. Volunteers must be vaccinated against Covid19. Celebratin­g 43 years, Museum of Indian Culture invites you to participat­e in Pennsylvan­ia’s oldest Native American Indian festival.

Setup 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 5, 6, 12, 13. The Roasting Ears of Corn festival is Aug. 19 and 20, with many areas of need including food stand, parking lot attendant, children’s activity area, kitchen food prep helpers and cleanup staff. Support the Lehigh Valley’s public television station, PBS39, and 91.3 WLVR,

a full-service NPR news and informatio­n public radio station at the annual Puerto Rican Parade and Festival July 23 in Allentown. Become a Foster Care & Adoption Ambassador.

The committee’s goals are to create, identify, and facilitate new ways to reach out to the community and increase awareness about adoption and foster care and about the services provided by The Salvation Army Children’s Services.
