Wildlands Conservancy will offer the following March events:
Get Out! for Wellness: 1-3 p.m. March 3, McDade Trail, Bushkill Access Trailhead, Delaware Water Gap, Bushkill Access, 2962 US-209, Bushkill. Join us, heading north from Bushkill Access as the trail follows a narrow ribbon of land between US 209 and the river. Then we’ll continue north beside overgrown fields, and pine and hardwood forests to a Delaware River overlook. Free. Spring Wildlife and Hike: 10 a.m. to noon March 9, Trexler Nature Preserve, Trexler Environmental Center, 4935 Orchard Road, North Whitehall Township. Join Wildlands Conservancy for a look into wildlife in Spring. First meet their Animal Ambassadors before heading outdoors to look for evidence of the changing seasons. Free. Pre-K Pathfinders: 10-11 a.m. March 12, Phenology, Trexler Nature Preserve, Trexler Environmental Center, 4935 Orchard Road, North Whitehall Township. Prepare for the first day of Spring, looking at how seasons change. Meet animals anticipating this time of year before you venture outside for evidence of Spring. Free. Get Out! for Wellness: 10 a.m. to noon March 16, D&L Northampton Trailhead, Canal Street Park, near Hungarian Hall, 1300 Stewart St. Northampton. Join them for a round trip hike on the towpath treadway, crossing the Hokendauqua Creek where the Nor-Bath Trail intersects the D&L. See remains of the CNJ railroad iron bridge, built in 1884, and historic lock remains. Free.
