Your child is multi-dimensional. So are we.
Today’s Moravian Academy offers every student ways to become their most authentic and successful self. On the Swain, Historic Downtown, and Merle-Smith Campuses, we give our 3-yearolds through 12th Graders more to explore... in school, in their world, and in themselves.
• The Swain Campus offers a secular, project-based curriculum, extensive outdoor experiences, and confidence-building performances on 20 breathtaking acres of green space for students in preschool through grade 8.
• On the Historic Downtown Campus, students in preschool through grade 8 participate in challenging and transformative academic programs with inclusive Moravian services and traditions, as well as engaging signature programs like Spanish Immersion and Suzuki Strings.
• When students reach Upper School on the Merle-Smith Campus, they’re immersed in a remarkably college-like environment.
Students in grade 9-12 attend classes in both modern and historic buildings on 120 acres of bucolic green space that resembles an arboretum punctuated by unique tree species. Working closely with faculty advisors, they hone advanced independent thinking and research skills and collaborate in hands-on, real-world projects.
Your child can learn daily in carefully tended historic buildings resounding with our country’s past. They can study, play, and wander on acres of green space. They can master a second language through our immersion program.
They can experiment to their heart’s and mind’s content in well-equipped labs and maker spaces. They can reflect on big questions about themselves and their world through inclusive chapel services—and/or through secular social and emotional learning programs.
Moravian Academy nurtures the joyful spirit of each learner and empowers inclusive global citizens to think critically, communicate effectively, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence. Immersed in a community that values creativity, curiosity, love, and understanding, our students seek to answer the questions: Who am I and who can I become?
Muhlenberg Coaches Students to Make Their Impact, Now
From the moment students arrive at Muhlenberg College, the personalized coaching they receive empowers them to take risks, make connections and achieve more than they thought possible. At Muhlenberg, challenge is a way of life, support is a given, success is an expectation — and our innovative coaching program helps students thrive.
Redefine Coaching
The best performers, the best athletes, the best executives — they have one thing in common: great coaches. The Muhlenberg College coaching program matches every incoming student with a team that ensures they maximize their potential and take advantage of holistic opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
Connections That Matter
Providing 360-degree support for every student from the moment they arrive on campus, the coaching program builds on Muhlenberg’s robust academic advising by pairing new students with a career counselor and college life coach in addition to their faculty advisors.
Academic advisors help students chart their educational journey, starting from the summer before their first semester. College life coaches deepen students’ involvement in Muhlenberg activities and smooth their transition to the residential college experience. Career coaches introduce first-years to the Muhlenberg Action Plan (MAP), a framework that guides students through four phases of career development (explore careers, gain experience, demonstrate expertise and achieve excellence) during their Muhlenberg journey.
Future Focused
Muhlenberg’s coaching program gives first-year students a preview of what they can expect throughout their time at the college: a high level of support from faculty, staff, peers and alumni that allows students to climb higher, to embrace challenge, not to fear the occasional fall. “I wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t go to Muhlenberg,” said Adrienne Ellison ’23, a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. “Muhlenberg has so many opportunities, it’s almost hard not to take them.”
