Joe Hutsko died peacefully in his home on March 5, 2024. He was the husband of JoAnne (Burk) Hutsko with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Pottsville,

PA he was the son of John and Mary Hutsko and was a graduate of Cass Township

High School. He then graduated from Moravian College and Kirksville College of Osteopathi­c Medicine which led him to become a beloved family physician for 45 years in Allentown, PA. He was an outstandin­g athlete in both high school and college and was an avid Penn State football fan. He played racquetbal­l for many years and loved reading, sudoku and poker. He held a deep passion for his grandchild­ren and was devoted to following them through their sports, academics and vocations. He will be remembered for always finding beauty in the simplicity of life. He savored ordinary joys like soft rain, August tomatoes, magenta sunsets, chopping wood, and harmonizin­g to old songs. Joe immediatel­y put people at ease with his warm and disarming sense of humor. He is survived by his wife JoAnne; his son Timothy Hutsko (Kristen)

Mesa, AZ; his daughters Jacqueline Scott (Dan) Kyrgyzstan; Patricia Brown, Coopersbur­g, PA; Christina Piwowarski (Mark) Glenelg, MD; Lynn Khosrowsha­hi (Kam) New Vernon, NJ. Joe is also survived by his sister Mary Sullivan of Jackson, MS; his brother Francis Hutsko of Minersvill­e; by 18 grandchild­ren, 7 great-grandchild­ren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predecease­d by his 3-year-old son Jody (in 1970) and by 8 of his 10 siblings. Joe was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Limeport, PA.
