Richard M. Seip, Jr, 89, of Allentown passed away on March 8th, 2024 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home. He is the loving husband of Nancy L. (Kushner) Seip. Richard was born in Allentown on June 7th, 1934 to the late Richard and Gladys (Eddinger)

Seip. After graduating from Allentown High School in 1952, he went on to study at Muhlenberg College where he was a proud fraternity member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. After college, he served for a short time in the U.S. Air Force. Richard started his first job at Bendix Aviation in Teterboro, NJ. He went on to work for Western Electric and the City of Allentown. Richard was an avid outdoorsma­n who enjoyed hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, golfing, and camping. He bowled in several leagues, played cards every week at the senior center, worked out at the gym daily, and was always reading. He coached little league basketball and baseball and was involved in the Cub Scouts. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchild­ren, and at the age of 82, he went skydiving with two of his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his son Stephen, daughter Cynthia (Curt), grandsons, Peter, Stephen (Tara), Kyle, and Tyler (Rebecca), granddaugh­ters Andrea and Jessica, great grandchild­ren Deven, Gerard, and Zackary, and sisters Patricia Berger and Kathleen McGinley (Thomas), along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his nieces, Susan and Donna, and his sister, Bonnie.

Viewing with prayer service: Friday, March 15, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown.
