Nancy F. (Shiffer) Erdman, 85, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Luther

Crest of Allentown, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward R. Erdman to whom she was married 63 years. Born in Adamstown, Lancaster County, September

21, 1938, Nancy was the daughter of the late Charles Shiffer and Fern (Wolfgang)

Shiffer Weber.

Nancy earned her BS in Education, Secondary Curriculum from Kutztown University in 1960 with a focus in Mathematic­s. She first taught advanced mathematic­s courses at Parkland High School and then was a middle school teacher in the Allentown School District for 25 years before retiring. An excellent educator, Nancy was awarded the Outstandin­g Teacher Award by the Allentown Education Associatio­n in 1999. Nancy enjoyed reading, cooking and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed time with her family at the holidays and at their cabin in the mountains of Central Pennsylvan­ia. Nancy was a member of the First Presbyteri­an Church of Allentown.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Edward; sons, Scott E. Erdman and his wife, Maria of Syracuse, NY, Russel E. Erdman of Royersford; grandchild­ren, Sarabeth, James, Sean and Sandra.

Service: Private and at the convenienc­e of the family. No public calling hours.
