Adding insult to injury on fireworks

For the past many weeks, multiple letters to the editor have shared horror stories describing the barrage of fireworks being detonated within Allentown, continuing well into the early morning hours. The printed word does not even come close to describing how our quality of life has been so negatively affected.

This level of disrespect from some is only intensified by the plethora of container boxes, tubes, steel shafts, paper and general debris that remains at the many launch sites throughout Allentown. It is disheartening yet not surprising that those who find it entertaining to create noise pollution would also consider it acceptable to simply leave their debris behind for others to have to remove.
