Jazz returns to Allentown’s Miller Symphony Hall with three live streaming performanc­es

Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown will once again host jazz with three live-streamed performanc­es.

Don Braden Quartet

When: 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 Featuring Don Braden, saxophone/flute; Art Hirahara, piano; Kenny Davis, bass; and Jeremy Warren, drums

Legendary jazz artist Braden returns to Miller Symphony Hall for “Jazz Tributes to Contempora­ry Masters.” All compositio­ns on tap for the show are written by Braden and honor Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Marvin Gaye, civil rights icon John Lewis, and more.

Gene Perla

When: 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 Featuring Gene Perla, bass; Sean Gough, piano/keyboard; Adam Nussbaum, drums; Oscar Williams II, piano; Jeff “Tain” Watts, drums; and special guest, Nicole Glover, saxophone

“ATale of Two Trios!,” created by Perla, will be an opportunit­y for listeners to appreciate the creativity of two of the world’s towering percussion­ists as well as two blooming pianists.

Craig Thatcher and Nyke Van Wyk Holiday Show

When: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 Featuring Craig Thatcher, guitar; Nyke Van Wyk, violin

The dynamic duo of Thatcher and Van Wyk will jazz up the season during the holidays.

The jazz performanc­es will be available to livestream for $15 per device.

To order tickets, go to MillerSymp­honyHall.org. Select “buy tickets” from the drop-down menu, choose the event by series or by date, then click on the “buy tickets” button. Complete the order form (virtual event ticket links can only be delivered by email. This option will be selected.) Click “submit.” Once the order is complete, you will receive an email with a unique event link (highlighte­d in blue) to view the concert.
