Easton’s Adams de-commits from Louisiana-Monroe
Easton High running back Nahjee Adams was adept at changing direction on the football field over the last several seasons, and now he has done it in regard to his college future.
Adams announced on Twitter on Sunday afternoon that he is de-committing from Louisiana-Monroe.
“Due to unforeseen circumstance beyond my control, I have decided to reopen my recruitment after deep thought and prayer with my family,” he wrote. “I would like to thank the whole, entire University of Louisiana Monroe staff for giving me the opportunity to play ball at the next level. With that being said, I am de-committing from ULM. Please respect my decision.”
Adams committed to the Sun Belt Conference member last summer. Louisiana-Monroe is struggling through an 0-10 season.
Easton finished the 2020 season 3-4, reaching the District 11 6A semifinals before losing to Freedom.

He suffered a leg injury with five minutes left in the first quarter of the regular-season finale against Nazareth and did not play in playoff games against Emmaus and Freedom. He was a first-team running back on the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference’s Northampton Division all-star team.
He finished his career with 422 carries for 2,796 yards and 38 total touchdowns. The 2,796 yards was the fifth-most in Red Rovers history and the 38 TDs was the fourth most.
