Man allegedly threatened Biden, Wolf, other Dems
A man living in the woods of Bucks County was arrested Monday morning on charges of threatening President-elect Joe Biden, Gov. Tom Wolf and other Democrats, according to a state police news release.
An investigation by the Elyria Police Department in Ohio found that Kris John Kinsey, 61, posted multiple messages, images and videos where he threatened violence or death to Biden, Wolf, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, Rep. Nancy Pelosi and their supporters, the release states.
Kinsey was arrested at 9:14 a.m. in the 700 block of Sunday Road in Durham Township by troopers from the Dublin barracks. Kinsey had set up a campsite in the woods, according to state police, and had a semiautomatic handgun, which he is not permitted to possess, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Kinsey was charged with possessing an instrument of crime, making terroristic threats, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kinsey was sent to Bucks County jail under $4.6 million bail, state police spokesperson Trooper Nathan Branosky said.
Kinsey has a criminal history that stretches back almost 30 years, and has been convicted of nonviolent felonies in Arizona and Ohio, including forgery in 2003, according to Nexis records. He has also been convicted of various misdemeanors in Ohio, Oregon and Texas. In September, he was convicted of misdemeanor assault in Elyria, Ohio.
