Colonial League girls basketball has been in existence since the 1975-76 season and has crowned 45 champions.

The first 19 seasons, a first half/second half format was used with a title game played when needed. Since expansion in 1995, a four or six-team tournament was used. This will be the first season an eight-team format will be implemented.

Southern Lehigh has won the most overall titles with 10 followed by Catasauqua (6), Notre Dame (5), Bangor (4), Nazareth (4), Northwestern (3), Palisades (3), Palmerton (3), Salisbury (3), Wilson (2), Pen Argyl (1) and Saucon Valley (1).

Monday’s Colonial League quarterfinals were wiped out by the latest snow storm and were moved to Tuesday with the higher seeds hosting game.

The semifinals are set for Wednesday on the home court of the higher seed with the championship game slated for Friday at Moravian Academy.
