Richard A. Miller 94, of Allentown, and Cape May Point, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Richard was the husband of the late H. Joy (Schreiner) Miller who passed in 2002, after celebratin­g 56 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Jacob and Anna (Kehs) Miller. Richard was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Allentown. He graduated from ACCHS in 1944, and proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Richard worked in management for the former Western Electric Company (retiring at age 55), H&R Block, and Cape May Point Public Works. He was a volunteer fireman for the Cape May Point Volunteer Fire Co. for many years. Richard proudly began focus on beach dune maintenanc­e and replenishm­ent and initiated annual Dune Day in Cape May Point. Surviving are his children: R. Douglas in St. Thomas, USVI, Linda (John) Maurer in Kutztown, Wendy (Robert) Logan in Tyler, TX, and Krista (Christophe­r) Casey of Trexlertow­n and his siblings Jacob, William, Mary Ann Williamson, and Rose Scrizzi. Richard has three granddaugh­ters: Brandy, Tessa, and Arashan. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Joseph, George, and David. A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated as a family. A Celebratio­n of Life will be announced at a later date to be held in Cape May Point. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to the Cape May Point Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 291, Cape May Point, NJ 08212. Arrangemen­ts entrusted to the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown.
