Woman charged with endangering children, fleeing police
An Easton woman said she fled police Tuesday — endangering two child passengers and injuring three people when hitting another vehicle — because she had outstanding warrants, according to authorities.
Tiffany Jordan-Rebozo, 34, of the 100 block of North 13th Street, also admitted being under the influence of narcotics, according to an affidavit on the 7:59 p.m. chase starting in the 2000 block of Northampton Street, Wilson, and ending in the 1200 block in Easton.
Jordan-Rebozo is charged with the felony crimes of fleeing and endangering children’s welfare and the misdemeanor crimes of reckless endangerment and injuring others in a crash, along with citations for reckless and careless driving. District Judge Patricia Broscius placed her in Northampton
County Jail under $50,000 bail.
Wilson police stopped Jordan-Rebozo, who was driving a 2008 Hyundai in the 2000 block of Northampton Street and initially identified herself by another name, the affidavit states. While police checked her background, she sped off in a careless, reckless manner.
Police followed Jordan-Rebozo as she continued east on Northampton Street into Easton, running a red light and then hitting the other vehicle occupied by three people at 13th Street. She continued on until her vehicle, disabled from the crash, came to a stop in the 1200 block in Easton, police said.
Jordan-Rebozo then exited through the front driver side window and fled on foot toward the 1200 block of Spring Garden Street, where she was apprehended. Police found two child passengers and a man who was in the front passenger seat.
The man told police he tried getting Jordan-Rebozo to stop because he was concerned for the children’s safety, the affidavit states.
