Ruth Marie Lorkowski -- "Sweetie" left our world suddenly!

The name"Sweetie" was given to her at birth by an uncle. So apropos that it remained with her throughout her life; used by siblings, friends, children and grandchildren. Her parents were the late, William and Marie Hunsicker.

Sweetie married the love of her life, the late Stanley Joseph Lorkowski, Sr. whom she met in Dover, New Jersey. They raised five children in New Jersey, then the family moved to Pennsylvania. After 20+ years in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, the next home became Summerfield, Florida.

Sweetie loved to dance, to laugh, to enjoy life! She was

happiest when surrounded by family with her hands covered in flour and making something delicious in the kitchen. Always enjoying the latest in food and fashion; new recipes and styles were her simple pleasures. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life. Attending services, volunteering, helping those less fortunate; these were tasks she cherished and values she passed to her children.

Her children were blessed with a wonderful mother who provided a warm and welcoming home, encouragement, support, even a kick in the pants when needed. Her grandchildren were treated to treasured times in the kitchen, joyful holiday events, and innumerous gatherings filled with laughter. The third generation to follow will know of her love and will have a very special guardian angel.
