Donald L. Cassady, 67, of Northampto­n, PA passed away Thursday, October 14th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem,

PA. Donald was born in Uniontown, PA on June

28, 1954, a son of the late Thoburn E. and Elwanda (Head) Cassady. He was the husband of Karen (Kroboth) Cassady. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversar­y this past June. Donald was a

1972 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and received his Bachelors in Education in

1976 from the former East Stroudsbur­g State College. Donald had a passion for cooking and entertaini­ng friends. He enjoyed traveling, the theater, music, going to concerts, singing, and playing the piano. Donald began his 30-year career with GMS Inc. in Kensington, MD working 18 years as an Implementa­tion and Training Manager, 5 years as Director of Accounting Services,

and 7 years as President and CEO, before retiring on December 31, 2020. Prior to that, Donald was employed for 4 years at the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley and for the former Butz & Williams PC in Pen Argyl. Donald was a member and current President

of the Northampto­n County 4-H Center. In addition to his wife, Karen, Donald is survived by a brother, Charles Cassady, husband of Linda, Mother-in-Law, Tessie Kroboth, Brother-in-Law, Karl Kroboth husband of Beth, Sister-in-Law, Kathy Griggs, and two nephews, Isaak Griggs and Will Kroboth. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, October 26th, from 6 - 8 PM at James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson

Ave., Pen Argyl, PA. A celebratio­n of Donald's life will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private at the convenienc­e of the family.
