Donald Dennis Bundra, 88, of Orefield, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Rose M. (Montagner) Bundra, with whom he shared nearly 68 years of marriage. Born on Christmas Day 1932 in Ormrod, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Margaret M.

(Haas) Bundra. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R. C. Church, Allentown. Prior to retiring, he worked for 35 years as a pipefitter/steamfitte­r for Steamfitte­rs Local Union 420. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Burdo (APD-133) during the Korean War, and played clarinet and saxophone in the Navy band.

Don coached little league baseball for the Lehigh County Youth Associatio­n Bulldogs in the 1970's. He was a proud fan of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame for many years. Pop-Pop was a super fan of all his grandchild­ren and always made time to cheer for them at their activities. He also enjoyed researchin­g his Czechoslov­akian family and heritage.

Survived by wife Rose; sons Dennis and his wife Linda of Orefield, Thomas of Alburtis, Daniel and his wife Sharon of Whitehall, Joseph and his wife Holly of Allentown; daughter Bonita, wife of Duane Miller of Salisbury Twp; brother Leonard of Florida. Pop-Pop also leaves his 12 grandchild­ren and 6 great grandchild­ren, whom he loved dearly. He was predecease­d by his sister Virginia Rondish daughter in law Stacy Morane.

Burial with military honors will be held at Highland Memorial Park, 1441 Roth Ave., Allentown on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Arrangemen­ts by Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown.
