Semifinals scheduled for Tuesday

District 11 fans, the biggest week of the soccer season is upon us.

The semifinal round, in all four classifica­tions and for both genders, is scheduled for Tuesday at sites all around the district. The championsh­ips are set for Thursday at sites to be determined.

The District 11 champion and runner-up qualify for the PIAA state championsh­ips in Class 4A (boys and girls). Only the district champions in 3A, 2A and 1A (boys and girls) qualify for states.

Here’s a look at Tuesday’s semifinal-round matchups:

DISTRICT 11 SOCCER SEMIFINALS BOYS Class 4A

1-Freedom vs. 4-Emmaus, 7 p.m. at Whitehall

2-Parkland vs. 3-Nazareth, 7:15 p.m. at Emmaus

Class 3A

1-Northweste­rn Lehigh vs. 4-East Stroudsbur­g South, 7 p.m. at Parkland 2-Blue Mountain vs. 3-Southern Lehigh, 7 p.m. at Lehighton

Class 2A

1-Central Catholic vs. 4-Jim Thorpe, 7 p.m. at Catasauqua

2-Notre Dame-GP vs. 6-Palisades, 6 p.m. at Liberty

Class 1A

1-Moravian Academy vs. 4-Tri-Valley, 7 p.m. at Northweste­rn Lehigh
