Freedom senior Tichy receives honor as MVP
Freedom senior Peter Tichy was selected as the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference boys soccer MVP, the conference announced on Tuesday morning.
Tichy, a senior who moved from midfield to forward around the midway point of the season, is No. 1 in the EPC with 34 goals and 25 assists. He scored three goals and added two assists in the Patriots’ 5-0 win over Parkland in the conference final on Oct. 23.
Tichy’s senior teammates, Sebastian Garces and Austin Hoffert, also were first-team selections in a vote of EPC coaches.
Tichy, Garces and Emmaus senior defender Jaeden Amato picked up all-state honors.
