Ruth E. Olivetti, 89, of Wind Gap, PA passed away Thursday, November 18th, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem, PA.

Ruth was born in Bushkill Twp., PA on May 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Clayton and Irene (Miller) Meyer.

She was the widow of Harvey Olivetti, Jr. who passed away in 2015.

Ruth was the co-owner & operator, with her late

husband, of the former Olivetti Floor & Wall Covering in Pen Argyl, PA, until retiring in 1993. She was previously employed as a sewing machine operator for various blouse mills in the Slate Belt Area.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Pen Argyl, PA. Ruth was a former member of the Ladies Sodality at the church and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.

Ruth is survived by a son, Randall Olivetti, husband

of Brenda, a sister, Jeanette Lambert, 2 grandchild­ren; Matthew Olivetti, Sr. husband of Heather, and Amy Hatfield wife of Kyle, 5 great-grandchild­ren Meadow and Matthew Olivetti, Jr. and Hailey, Lily, and Hunter Hatfield, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Catherine Fisher.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, November 29th at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbit Ave,

Pen Argyl, PA with Msgr. Vincent York officiatin­g. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Monday, November 29th at the church. Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, PA.
