Sheila Conlon, 88, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family while in the care of Kirkland Village. Born

in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Francis Sweeny and Julia (Addison) Sweeny. Sheila attended Notre Dame School of Manhattan and the Catherine Gibbs Business School. She worked in advertisin­g and sales for the Crowell-Collier Publishing Company. Sheila married Thomas Conlon in 1958, sharing over 63 years of loving marriage. They began married life in Haddonfiel­d, NJ and she began working for Singer Sewing Machine Company. Sheila and Tom later moved to Bethlehem in 1960. Sheila was an active community member including the St. Luke’s Chairty Ball Committee, Governor Wolf Elementary School PTA and was past President of the Jaycee Wives. When the Bethlehem Steel began to

downsize, Sheila and her family moved to Philadelph­ia where she continued to be an active community member before returning to the Lehigh Valley in 1999 and settling in the Four Seasons at Saucon Valley where she served as President of the Activities Committee. Sheila and Tom later moved to Kirkland Village Retirement Community in 2013 and led an active life until her passing. Sheila was a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband Thomas, she will be remembered by her daughters Kathleen M. Hozza and husband David of State College and Cynthia A. Kilmer and husband James of Arlington, VA and her four loving grandchild­ren Caroline, Emily, Scott and Evan.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18020 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 A.M. until time of the Mass in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Sheila’s arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifu­neralhome. com.
