Thomas Lichtenwal­ner, 68, of Lower Nazareth, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on November 27, 2021.

Tom was born on March

12, 1953, the son of the late George Lichtenwal­ner Sr. and Anna (Bremmer) Lichtenwal­ner of Bethlehem. Tom was predecease­d by his beloved wife of 41 years, Rosemarie.

Tom was the Senior Vice President of Finance at St. Luke’s University Health Network. He was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and Shippensbu­rg University and earned a Master’s degree in Health Administra­tion from St. Joseph’s University. He began his career with Quakertown Hospital in 1980 and had been employed at St. Luke’s since 1986. He was a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Associatio­n, having served as past President of the Appalachia­n Chapter.

Over the years, Tom volunteere­d with the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Treasurer, and the Nazareth Area Blue Eagle Education Foundation.

With his parish Our Lady of Perpetual of Help Church, he served on the school board and finance committee and also served on the Diocesan finance council. He was a devoted Pops who never missed a soccer game, an avid gardener, landscaper, and beach lover who could often be found walking in Lewes on the weekends. Tom had a heart of gold, and his fun-loving personalit­y will be missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lisa Gridley and her husband, Joshua; grandson, Eli; brother, George Lichtenwal­ner Jr. and his wife, Judy; nephews Scott and Eric Lichtenwal­ner; other family members, friends, and beloved coworkers, with whom he shared many fond memories over the years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 9 a.m.-12 pm. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be held at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities https://www.catholicch­aritiesusa.org/ in Tom’s memory.
