25 shows from Celtic sounds to Americana roots, rock and blues

From Celtic sounds to the blues, you’ll have a good chance of finding a great show this spring at Bethlehem’s Godfrey Daniels.

The legendary listening room, marking its 46th year this year, recently announced 25 shows scheduled starting this month through June.

Here are some of the highlights:

Singer-songwriter­s Rachael Sage and Miriam Clancy, 8 p.m. March 26

Drew Nugent & The Midnight Society, Philadelph­ia’s “hot jazz” band playing tunes from the ’20s & ’30s, 8 p.m. April 1

My Darling Clementine, a country duo from the U.K., 8 p.m. April 8

Lilli Lewis, rock diva and gospel singer from New Orleans, 7 p.m. April 10Professo­r Louie & the Crowmatix, Americana roots and rock, 7:30 p.m. April 21, (postponed from February due to inclement weather)

Alice Howe & Freebo, folk, rock & blues, 7 p.m. April 24

House of Hamill, Celtic rock, 7 p.m. May 8

Mark Hummel & the Blues Survivors,

blues harpist and his band, June 17 and Christine Lavin, folk icon, 8 p.m. June 18.

In addition to those acts, there will be a special CD release concert by the Alex Radus Trio with Pyrenesia 7:30 p.m. April 7 at the Zoellner Arts Center, with support from Godfrey Daniels. The CD was recorded before live audiences at Godfrey’s.

There will also be an encore performanc­e of “Steve Brosky Sings the Tom Waits Songbook,” 7:30 p.m. March 31. (His February show sold out in four days.)

Like many concert venues, Godfrey Daniels reduced its capacity, required vaccinatio­ns and maintained mask protocols. The venue may increase capacity beginning next month and will continue to evaluate policies based on current guidance.
