Richard “Rich”

Lee Gerber, 66, of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. Richard and his wife, Patricia A. (Ewashko), celebrated 23 years of marriage on Dec. 3rd. Born March 29, 1956, in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Arthur and Arlene (Freeby) Gerber. Rich was a member of the former St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catasauqua. In addition to always being there for his wife and soul-mate, Patricia, Rich was known as a fisherman, a kind neighbor, a friend to all animals, and a Taco Tuesday aficionado who could rattle off the specs of any vehicle and remove a stain from any fabric. He was incontestably the most organized man in the world and he looked a little bit like Chuck Norris. Above all, he was a man of principle who dearly loved his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by stepdaughters, Jodie Bergey, Erin Priest and husband, Garth; grandchildren, Alexis Bergey and Uma-Jane Priest; great-grandson, Ronan Silfies; brother, Ron Gerber and wife, Denise; sister, Sue Gerber; and nephews,

Jeremy Gerber and Michael Gerber. Services: A prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be offered at www. reichelfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Special Olympics, 1133 19th St. NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036 in loving memory of Richard.
