Shirley A. "Mimi" Pensyl, 84, of Easton, PA, a loving wife of Bill, mother, grandmothe­r, and friend left this world on Monday, May 23rd, at the St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA surrounded by her family. Shirley was born in Stroudsbur­g, PA on April 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Harold Hay and Irene (Hufford) Johns. She lived there until meeting her best friend and husband Bill of 64 years and settling in Bangor, PA.

There she raised her family. She loved entertaini­ng on her deck by her pool; hosting many picnics and parties. Christmas Eve brought great joy to her. Anytime she could spend with her family was also of utmost importance. However, her favorite holiday was Memorial Day spent with her entire family in Bethany Beach, DE.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Bangor, PA.

In addition to her loving husband Bill, Shirley is survived by Cheryl Haycock (Greg), Brad Pensyl (Jill), Traci Rumsey (Charlie), and Jackie Cole (Mark), grandchild­ren Bradley Pensyl, Natalie Palmer, Ali Rumsey, Morgan Wessel, Matthew Rumsey, Madison Cole, and Riley Cole, great-grandchild­ren Jett, Sloane, Maeve, Grey, Blaire, Marley, Clementine, and Rex, Jr., nieces, and nephews and many dear friends. She was predecease­d by a sister Joyce Devlin.

Shirley will be deeply missed. A private celebratio­n of life will be held at the convenienc­e of the family. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Bangor, PA. Online condolence­s may be offered at gaffneypar­sons. com.
