Levi B. Peters, Jr.
Levi B. Peters, Jr., 88, of Orefield, died Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Joyce L. (Reichenbach) Peters to whom he was married 68 years. Born in Breinigsville, May 2, 1934, Levi was the son of the late Levi B. and Ida M. (Sherer) Peters. He was employed as a truck driver at Jaindl Farms, Inc. in Orefield before retiring in 2002. Prior to that he worked at Colebrook Farms in Emmaus. Levi was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown. Additionally, he was a member of Lehigh Camp and formerly served as the Assistant Coach of the Orefield-Knee-High Little League.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Joyce; daughter, Kathleen J. Helfrich (Carson) of Paupack; son, Bruce L. Peters (Virginia) of Orefield; brothers, Frederick F. Peters, James A. Peters (Phyllis), Sherman R. Peters (Jan); sisters, Katherine W. Frey, MaryAnn M. Mains; grandchildren, Cheri, Leah, Vicki, Peter; greatgrandchildren, Molly, Blaze, Morgan, Levi, Katie, Owen; predeceased by siblings, Paul J. Peters, Pauline M. Trumbauer, Caroline M. Dorney, Betty A. Gruber, Edna G. Diehl.
Service: A memorial service will be held 11:00 am. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield.
