Dine out at East Penn Restaurant Week and more
With new dining options in the Emmaus area, it’s the perfect time to take part in East Penn Restaurant Week.
The event, which will run Thursday to March 4, will be hosted by the East Penn Chamber of Commerce and Emmaus Main Street Partners, as well as New Tripoli Bank.

Vegan tasting event
Take some familiar names in vegan and vegan-friendly cuisine and you have the “Spring Into Compassion Vegan Food Tasting,” which will be held 1 to 3 p.m. March 19 at Vitality Natural Healthcare Center in Emmaus.
The event, hosted by Animal Defenders Greater Lehigh Valley, will feature Butterhead Kitchen, Jenny’s Kuali and Circle Donuts and is open to everyone, whether you are a longtime vegan or just someone looking to learn more.
The menu includes: Butterhead Kitchen: Caprese salad (gluten-free); cranberry pecan “chicken” salad (gluten-free); and jackfruit pulled “pork” slider (can be gluten-free with the bun and onions)
Jenny’s Kuali: Vegan homemade dumpling; tofu satay (gluten-free); and jackfruit and swiss chard salad with Jenny’s famous ginger garlic sauce (gluten-free)
Circle Donuts: strawberry frosted with sprinkles, chocolate frosted, vanilla glazed and maple glazed
The event will be “open house” style. You can stop by between 1 and 2:30 p.m. to get your samples and the event will wrap up with a 3 p.m. raffle drawing.
Tickets will be limited and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Animal Defenders Greater Lehigh Valley. How much: $35 plus fees.
