at our exciting summer camp at Camelot for Children in Allentown. Reserve your spot to volunteer for one day or as often as you can 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 19-July 28. Volunteeri­ng at the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is a great way to learn more about local history, stay active on the D&L Trail, and/or meet new people at community events.

The DLNHC, Easton, will be hosting a Volunteer Fair 11 a.m. March 4 and will be providing updated informatio­n about the organizati­on, recruiting for upcoming volunteer opportunit­ies, and sharing important dates for the year. The 10th Annual 3.21 Run for Down Syndrome will take place with nearly 400 participan­ts April 8 on the Lehigh Parkway. Funds raised help support the mission of the Eastern Pennsylvan­ia Down Syndrome Center. To ensure that K9 units have support, equipment, or finances needed to execute the critical operations they are tasked with every day, K9 Kop Project is looking for a (virtual) grant writer who can assist them by applying for grants for on-going and new projects for K9 officers. Will you speak up for a child who needs you? Lehigh County Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers gather informatio­n about the circumstan­ces of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and/or neglect. Help to play a vital role in maintainin­g the blood supply for the community where you live.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center has many volunteer opportunit­ies available at blood drives throughout Lehigh County and at our donor centers in Allentown, Bethlehem & Easton. Someone needs to give out the snacks with a smile while monitoring the donors and making sure they are doing well after donating. Why not you? Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas, and other animals would love to meet you. The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with ground maintenanc­e, composting, and cleaning of stalls.
