Hahn leads Parkland girls to 3A title
Milla Hahn won two individual events and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay team to lead the Parkland girls to the Class 3A team title Saturday at the District 11 Swimming Championships at Parkland High School.
Hahn won the the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly in addition to her relay gold as the Parkland girls beat rival Emmaus 426-409 in the team standings.
Jillian Kingsley of Nazareth also won two individual events in Class 3A girls, the 50 free and 100 free, and was a member of the Blue Eagles’ winning 400 free relay team.
In 3A boys, Ethan Coffman of Nazareth won two events, the 200 free and 500 free and was a member of two first-place relay teams, the 200 free and 400 free for the Blue Eagles.
Emmaus won the boys 3A team title with 478 points. Nazareth was second with 416.
In 2A girls, Mimi Norris of Allentown Central Catholic won two individual events, the 200 free and 500 free and was a member of the winning 400 free relay team.
Hannah Magdeburg of Blue Mountain also won two events, the 50 and 100 free races as well as being on the winning 200 free relay team.
Blue Mountain easily won the 2A team girls competition with 387 points. Allentown Central Catholic was second with 223.5.
In 2A boys, Noah Powers of Blue Mountain was the top swimmer with wins in the 50 and 100 free races as well as participating on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Jake Hillibush of Mahanoy Area set a meet record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 58.78.
The PIAA Swimming Championships will be held March 15-18 at Bucknell University.
