Ronald Earl VanBuskirk, 79, of Bethlehem Township, died on March 11,

2023. He was born on April 19, 1943, in Bethlehem; son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Eckroth) VanBuskirk. Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Beverley A. (Piccirilli) VanBuskirk.

Ron will be lovingly remembered as a strong, hardworkin­g, dedicated man. He loved his family tremendous­ly, especially his grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren. Ron enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, and restoring old cars; his favorite being the 1955 Chevy. He was a jack of all trades. He also coached the Notre Dame High School Midget Wrestling Team for many years.

Ron graduated from William Allen High School in 1961 and was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He worked as a master plumber for 5 years prior to joining the apprentice program through the Bethlehem Steel Corporatio­n where he worked as an electricia­n. He was a member of USW Local 2599 for 33 years and later IBEW Local 375 for 10 years.

Ron will be dearly missed by his wife, Beverley, daughters, Sherry Kaplan and husband,

Bennett, and Debra VanBuskirk and husband, Joseph; son, Ronald D. VanBuskirk and wife, Kimberly; granddaugh­ter, Kaitlin M. VanBuskirk, grandsons, Jacob Brown, Nathan D. VanBuskirk and wife, Aeisha, Dr. Aaron Kaplan, and Garrett A. Duh whom Ron and Beverley proudly raised after the passing of their daughter, Amy Duh, in 2007. Ron's love will also always be with his great grandchild­ren, Messiah, Zion, and Maverick Carmichael. He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer, Lisa and husband, Bret, and Julie and husband, Kenneth; nephew, Andrew and wife, Diana, and brothers-in-law, Michael, and Dennis Piccirilli, and Jack Fry. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Duh, grandson, Joshua Brown, and sister, Karen Fry. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. immediatel­y followed by a funeral service in the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
