Another angel has earned his wings! On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Thomas Joseph Allison, Sr., 78, of Palmer Township, Easton, PA went onto his heavenly journey. Born April 29, 1944, in Tamaqua to Edward J. and Marie F. (DeLay) Allison. Moving to Easton in 1957, Tom graduated from Notre Dame High School (Class of ’61), and Churchman Business School. He is a very proud veteran, serving with the United States Army.

Tom is also known to family and friends as Dad, Pappy, Homer, and Mr. A.

Tom married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Jane (Acton) Allison on June 8, 1968. They lived, laughed, and loved through life’s ups and downs for nearly 55 years.

Tom worked in the offices of Bethlehem Steel expediting steel orders for 30 years. Then, found a second career processing claims for the PA Unemployme­nt Office.

Mr. Allison is a longtime parishione­r of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, previously serving as a Cub Scout Pack Leader and a member of Men of St. Jane’s. Also, served as a 3rd Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Union Council 345.

Besides wife, Jane, Tom is survived by brother Joseph and wife Mim, sister Joan Marie Weisel and husband Dave, and sister-in-law Mary Rita Miller and husband Ron. He is proud of his children Thomas (Tommy) Jr. and wife Michelle, Loretta Gregory and husband Mike, and Christa Pepe and husband Chris. Most cherished are his 6 granddaugh­ters – Katie, Marissa, and Ashlee Gregory, Molly and Mea Allison, and Giovanna Pepe, also many nieces and nephews. Tom was predecease­d by his parents, and older brother Edward J. Allison, Jr.

A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 9 to 10 AM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA, at 11 AM.
