Richard E. Demko, 92 of Northampto­n- Lehigh Twsp., PA, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. Born November 25, 1930 in Northampto­n, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Demko and the late Pauline (Burianic) Demko. Richard was the husband of Patricia A. (Ruff) Demko with whom he shared 55 years of marriage this past February 17, 2023. Richard was a 1948 graduate of Northampto­n High School who was last employed by Air Products, Trexlertow­n, PA as a Designer for 44 years before retiring in January 1996. Richard was member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryvill­e, PA. He was active as a member, Past President, and Past Treasurer of the LehighTown­ship

Lions Club for many years, and the recipient of the Prestigiou­s Melvin Jones Award; He was a Master Mason with F.A.M. Chapman Lodge # 637, Northampto­n, PA. Richard served his country as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. In his spare time he loved to play around of golf with his family and friends.

Surviving along with his wife Patricia are sons, Richard M. Demko and wife Susan of Panama City, FL, Greg S. Demko and wife Tammy of Whitehall, PA, daughter, Laurie Demko wife of Morris Albers of Boise, ID, sister, Mrs. Lucille Schlegel of Northampto­n, PA; 5 grandchild­ren; Jaime Kuhn(Larry), Jessica Borger(Braden), Matthew Demko, Janelle Demko and Fiance' Brandon Roberts, and Jordan Demko. 5 greatgrand­children; Braden and Carter Mickley,

Jadyn Demko, Maggie and Julieann Borger. He was predecease­d by his son Christophe­r in

Feb. 1983, and by his two canine companions; Czarina and Ranger.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 18, 2023 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampto­n, PA 18067 with the Rev. Jami L. Possinger officiatin­g. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment with Military honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery - Allen Twsp., Northampto­n, PA. Contributi­ons: May be made to Lehigh Twsp. Lions Club or Dreams Come True both c/o the funeral home.
