Earl G. Snyder, Sr, 71, of Walnutport, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of Toni J. (Dammeyer) Snyder, whom he married September

20, 1997. Born in Allentown on July 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Lucille Shook. Earl was a graduate of Slatington High School and was a member of the 1969 undefeated football team. A true patriot, Earl served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the US Air Force from 1971-1978. He retired from Northern Lehigh School District, having worked in the maintenanc­e department for several years. Prior to that, Earl was a police officer, protecting the boroughs of Slatington, Walnutport and Lehigh Township. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryvill­e, where he served on the church property committee, was a communion assistant and usher. Earl was an active member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington, serving as a member of the honor guard and as past Adjutant. He was a volunteer for the Slatington Community Ambulance, member of the Slatington Fire Department and Fire Police, Diamond Fire

Co, Walnutport, and former member of the Slatington Lions Club.

In addition to his wife Toni, he will be lovingly remembered by children: Earl Snyder, Jr., of Stroudsbur­g, Becky and husband Brian Adams of Slatington, David Boyer of White Haven; Melissa and husband Jesse Calhoon of Grand Junction, CO; grandchild­ren: Megan, Sarah, & Jake Adams, Isabella & Gabe Calhoon; greatgrand­children: Brantley & Salem.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 11AM. Burial with military honors to follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in Earls memory can be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryvill­e PA 18035
