Barry E. Breininger, 70, of Fogelsvill­e, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Born in Allentown,

April 23, 1953, Barry was the son of the late Ernest P. and Dorothy H. (Blose) Breininger. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Metro

Fuel Injection, formerly Fuel Injections Sales & Services, in Allentown, for 42 years before retiring in 2019. Barry was a member of the United Church of Christ congregati­on of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsvi­lle. He faithfully and honorably served 21 years in the Pennsylvan­ia Army National Guard with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Barry also was a member of the Rockland Gun Club. An avid outdoorsma­n, Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchild­ren.

Survivors: Daughter, Lisa N. Matz (Ryan) of Alburtis; brother, Scott D. Breininger (Donna) of Gettysburg; grandchild­ren, Nolan R. Matz and Harper O. Matz; aunts, uncles and cousins; predecease­d by a brother, Douglas C. Breininger. Service: A private graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. The Rev. Dr. Larry D. Pickens will be officiatin­g. No calling hours. The Heintzelma­n Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksvi­lle is in charge of arrangemen­ts.
