Patricia M. Fisher, 84 of Palmer Twp., PA passed away peacefully Sept. 8, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Coach Fisher was born in Easton on Sept. 17, 1938. She graduated from Easton High School in 1956 and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Stroudsbur­g University. Pat was employed as a physical education and health teacher at Easton High School where she coached field hockey, basketball, and softball. In 1979, Pat began her career as a collegiate coach at Lafayette College in 1980. She was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach from 1980-2001, Head Women’s Softball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Senior Women’s Administra­tor before she retired. Upon retirement, Pat was elected to serve on the Easton School District Board of Education. Pat is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame at Easton High School, East Stroudsbur­g University, and Lafayette College. Pat was predecease­d by her parents: Harrison “Bud” and Mae Fisher, her brother: Bernard F. Fisher and her sister and partner-in-crime: Sharon Helm. She is survived by her brother: Tom Fisher, and his wife, Linda; nephew and nieces: Harrison “Bud” Kohler (wife Maureen); JoMarie Kohler Taff (husband Randy); Colleen Smith Carfara, (husband Tony); Cortney Fisher, Tiffany Fisher Zakszeski (husband Mike); Brittany Fisher (partner Shakeem Williams) and great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many friends and former players, most notably her best friend and fellow coach of more than 50 years, Annette Lynch. Mass will be held 11 AM Thursday at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton with a calling period from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampto­n St., Easton and 10 to 11 AM Thursday in the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley (www.cancersupp­ortglv.org) or the Maroon Club of Lafayette College at www.goleoplard­s.com or by check with the memo line indicating the donation be directed to Women’s Basketball.
